OddPost
San Francisco-based Oddpost was founded by Ethan Diamond and Iain Lamb in late 2000 to develop a state-of-the-art Web-based email service. Like other Web-based e-mail, Oddpost is accessed via a standard Web browser, but the system’s interface functions more like that of a desktop program such as Microsoft Outlook. In June, Yahoo acquired Oddpost and plans to use the Oddpost technology to improve Yahoo Mail and other Yahoo services.
